We are Aaron and Cassie with our children Micah, Mia, Merry, Manna & Mercy Gortmaker. Our family is on a journey to follow Jesus and make Him known to others!
The Lord allowed us to first meet at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan (our home state). We had a lot in common, not the least was that we were both excited about youth and camp ministry! After marrying in 2002, we finished school in 2003 and moved to Central Florida for 7 years--working in secular jobs and starting our family. In 2010 we moved back to Michigan to be closer to our families. While experiencing some very difficult things, God used that time to prepare our hearts for full-time ministry.
Our missions journey began in 2014. The Lord continued to open doors and make His direction very clear to us. In 2015 we visited several ministries in Costa Rica and had such peace.
We joined United World Mission in 2015 and moved to Costa Rica in 2017. After completing a year at the Spanish Language Institute in the capital city of San Jose, we moved to the province of Guanacaste to equip and encourage local churches through discipleship classes and conferences/retreats.
